PennHealthX is a student-led organization within the Perelman School of Medicine with the intention of supporting students with interests in healthcare management, entrepreneurship, and technology.

PennHealthX was founded in 2013 and has grown into an endowed program that provides medical students with opportunities to explore, experience, and contribute to innovation in health care.

  • Hosted over 100 lecture-series events for students

  • Funded nearly 50 non-traditional summer internships

  • Provided non-dilutive seed funding for over 50 student-run startups

  • Hosted nearly 10 annual conferences with over 2,000 tickets sold

  • Awarded over 50 H-MET certificates to graduating PSOM students

  • Our flagship Social Determinants of Health Accelerator

  • Our Ventures arm, which provides non-dilutive seed funding to startups with PSOM team members

  • Our Healthcare Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (H-MET) certificate for PSOM degree candidates

  • Our internship program, which provides funding for students pursuing unpaid/underpaid opportunities in the H-MET field
